It all began in math class, back in 2015, but not in the usual way.
Mari had a last-minute schedule change that landed her in Jacob’s class. That small shift, something so ordinary, ended up changing both of our lives forever. Jacob noticed her right away and before long, he made the first move, asking her out. Mari decided to take a chance on him, never imagining that the boy from math class would one day become her future husband.
From that day forward, we’ve been inseparable. We grew up together...literally. Proms, homecomings, holidays, family trips, life’s highs and lows… we’ve walked through it all, side by side. Over the years, we’ve come to understand each other in a way that’s rare. Our personalities complement each other so well; our humor, our thoughts, our quirks...it just works. We’re not only each other’s love, but each other’s best friend.
One of the most meaningful parts of our journey has been our walk with Christ. We’ve grown not only closer to each other, but closer to the Lord and our relationship is built entirely on that foundation. Today, we faithfully serve in our church, and we’re continually in awe of how God has moved in our lives. His grace has carried us, shaped us, and drawn us deeper into His purpose, not just for us as individuals, but for us as a couple. He has been nothing but amazing to us, and we owe everything to Him. AGTG-All Glory To God!
Then, came the proposal, planned entirely by Jacob. And to Mari’s surprise, he actually managed to keep it a secret! (Which, if you know him, is pretty impressive.) In that moment, surrounded by love and joy, Mari felt overwhelmed with happiness and peace knowing without a doubt that this was the man she was meant to spend forever with.
Now, nearly ten years after it all began, we’re getting married on October 10, 2025, because, let’s be honest, 10/10 has a pretty nice ring to it.
We couldn’t be more excited to celebrate this next chapter of our story with all the people who’ve loved us and supported us through every step. More than anything, we’re looking forward to forever together spending every day with our best friend, and continuing to grow in love and faith as husband and wife.
